“Sancta Maria, Regina caeli, dulcis et pia, o mater Dei: ora pro nobis peccatoribus, ut cum electis videamus.”
“Holy Mary, Queen of Heaven, gentle and holy, mother of God: pray for us sinners, that with the chosen we may see you.”
–Second Eve, Ola Gjeilo
Little Flowers from Our Lady’s Garden
Living in the Deep South as a traditionally-raised, homeschooled, Catholic young woman in love with the Tridentine Mass who dreams of veils and monastery halls and a life hidden from the world, I know firsthand how important the holy example and companionship of fellow members of Christ’s Church is. All that I want in writing this little blog is to glorify Our Lord for all the graces He has showered my life with through the hands of Our Blessed Mother, and to offer for others who are striving to follow Him on the straight and narrow way even a fraction of the encouragement and hope that my family and friends have given me.
You won’t find theological brilliance here (though I do strive for soundness) or deep treatises, but merely the little things (and the big graces they conceal) that make up the day-to-day of our journey Heavenwards, holding the hand of Our Lovely Blessed Mother and whispering at every step, “Ora pro nobis peccatoribus, ut cum electis videamus. Amen.”
